Post break up: Motivational speaker phase.

Scenes

Playing faintly in the background: Adele’s Easy on me.

There aint no gold, in this river….”

Wanji bursts out in tears as soon as this song starts. She cant clearly point out on whether her outburst is as result of how vulnerable she has been of late or if it’s just Adele.

One thing about Adele, she will have you sobbing about a heartbreak you haven’t had.

Wanji has been getting emotionally provoked at the slightest inconvenience. She is really going through it! She is currently relating to every heartbreak quote. She can’t get over how dumb she was not to realize she was being played. Even worse, she has to go through all this in her mothers house.

There is nothing worse than going through a heartbreak in a Kenyan (African)household. Change my mind.

1. It’s almost illegal to have a boyfriend💀, so you can’t explain why your eyes are swollen in the morning.

2. You can’t just decide to lock yourself up in your room all day. Kwa nyumba ya Nani?

3. Sweetie you will wash the dishes and clean the house. Usilete mchezo kwa kazi please!

These among other reasons is why Wanji and all those going through it are having a hard time. Tough times don’t last only tough people do. Send prayers.

Babe is trying to heal and being a vulnerable emotional wreck is part of the journey. She has a pass on this one though, she isn’t rushing out of it and is neither judging herself for it because you can’t hate yourself and love yourself at the same time. No matter how much he/she did you dirrry, your value is not defined by the value someone sees in you.

Say it with chwest!

I honestly deserve better.

Keep up with me for more on the Wanji series. 🖤
